I feel terrible. My eyes are dry, my head's throbbing, and my lower back is aching. Please please God, don't let me get sick. I'm going on vacation next week and I want to be "healthy" so that I can enjoy it.

I'm excited to go home! My sister-in-law's ex bought Godiva milk demitasse and signature biscuits for me! Weeeheee. There goes my diet. Ooooooh, for a bit of happy news, I surprisingly lost weight! I'm now 110 lbs. Now if I could only drop 10 more pounds, I'll be happy.

My nephew, Nathan, turned four yesterday! We're celebrating his birthday this Saturday at our grandparents' place in Batangas because he's refusing to celebrate it in school. I'm bringing pasta :)
It's been almost a year since I last saw my relatives in Batangas. I'm quite excited to go, but I can't help but feel sad because we still can't take Cole with us. Ugh. I can't wait till he's a little older so he can finally be allowed to leave the house.
My grandparents haven't even seen Cole in person. How sad is that? More than anything, I want to bring Cole to Batangas to meet my awesome lolo and lola. Sigh. There's nothing I could do but wait.
I hope I don't get sick this weekend because that would really ruin the trip for me. My throat's a little scratchy now but I already took 2 Fern-Cs and a Bioflu capsule. I hope it works.

My mom just called me and said that my sister wanted to go to Batangas Friday night instead of Saturday morning. I'm so pissed at my sister for changing the plans. We might not go there after all. Tsk, I'm so annoyed!

Andrew and I celebrated a Cole milestone last night: he just had his first taste of semi-solid food! We fed him Earth's Best First Carrots and he loved it! At first, we were worried that he wouldn't like it since the consistency is weird but he loves it so much that he even got a little angry when I took a break from feeding him. The way he sucks his vitamins off the medicine dropper should have been an indicator that he's gonna eat and LOVE anything that we feed him.
His pediatrician is a "fresh food advocate" and discourages us from feeding him anything bottled. I'm just going to make him finish the three bottles of baby food that Andrew and I bought then fresh food na siya. Sayang, I like pa naman the brand since it's organic. Oh well. I'm super curious about the strained apple because I love Gerber apple sauce. I wonder if it tastes the same. Eh, nag-iiba ba lasa ng baby food na apple sauce depending sa brand? Anyway, sana ma-try ko. I will never try yung carrots and peas in a million years.
I'm kinda sad that the pediatrician included Cerelac in his "hindi maganda yan" list because I've been itching to buy Cerelac (addict din ako dito) and the only way that I could justify buying it is if I'm going to share it with Cole and now I can't. Haaay.
I promise I'm going to post pictures when I get home. They're too precious not to share.

8:20 am - Twin Peaks
|
Andrew and I had a Twin Peaks marathon over the break. I finally watched the series years after watching the pilot and Fire Walk with Me. Before Andrew introduced me to the series, I've only known about it through ABS-CBN's "Who killed Laura Palmer?" promo. I remember wanting to watch the series because it intrigued me, but the airing, if I remember correctly, was already late (10 or 11 was late for me when I was younger).
David Lynch is a genius in developing characters and churning out weird plots. I love what he did with the Leo Jonhson (Eric Da Re) character because it was so unexpected. I didn't think I'd feel any sympathy towards the character but David Lynch almost made me cry with what he did with Leo at the end.
David Lynch's character, Gordon Cole, really made me laugh though. My favorite David Lynch moment was his diner scene with Shelly Johnson (Madchen Amick). They looked so cute together! Andrew told me that David Lynch almost didn't hire Madchen Amick because her audition wasn't very impressive, but the producer told him to hire her because she's pretty. Itty bit of trivia, Madchen Amick played the role of the duchess--the one who had an affair with Nate--in Gossip Girl.
I'm so addicted to Twin Peaks that I want to order a second copy of the definitive gold edition (the gold edition we have was my birthday gift to Andrew). I wish I can also find a copy of Fire Walk with Me and Laura Palmer's secret diary. If anyone of you happens to see a copy, please let me know. I'll be eternally grateful :)
